2nd Annual Ride For Water

For the 2nd year, Diverse Properties was the Title Sponsor for the Ride for Water Event that took place on May 4th. Ride for Water is an initiative to help raise funds for clean water projects. This year’s Ride for Water focused on Bekyye, Ethiopia. Currently, Bekyye has no access to clean water and the girls and women of Bekyye walk for hours everyday to fetch water from a river and ponds for cooking, cleaning, drinking and animal care. Bekyye is located in the Harana Buluk area of Oromia and 2200 people call it home.

Ride for Water is a gravel grind adventure and 100% of the money raised by the event will go towards providing clean water to the people in Bekyye. We are pleased to say that the 2019 Ride for Water was a huge success. There were 270 riders, 40 volunteers and $38,000 was raised, because of which over a 1000 people will be drinking clean water in the community of Bekyye.
